Community Development Ministry (Central Asia)
"...and recognizing the [Gospel of Grace] that had been given to me...they gave me the right hand of fellowship. They only asked us to remember the poor—the very thing I also was eager to do." –Galatians 2:9-10
For security purposes, we can not give the names or specific details about these partners. However, we can tell you they have been working in creative access, Muslim nations since 2000. They have focused on bringing meaningful development projects to communities and sharing the gospel in this context. They have already been used by God to start a church for an unreached people group through this work. As Muslims experienced our partner's love for them and the exemplary character of their family and children, many had their hearts warmed to the Gospel.
After a short sabbatical in Europe and the United States, our partners are again working in Central Asia teaching community health and managing community development projects. Funding through GCF grants will make it possible for them to operate a three-month community health program, which will be implemented in villages throughout the region, as well as the creation of an English as a second language training program. Both these programs will meet important needs and will provide launching points for the spread of the Gospel. Our partners were Grace Church’s first, full-time missionary couple. They have attended Grace Church since 1989, where they met and were married. They have two children.
