Types of Gifts
There are many ways to give to GCF. First, GCF accepts cash donations and marketable securities. GCF also accepts, after review, tangible personal property, closely held public stock, real estate, and other irregular assets. Donors may give through a variety of vehicles as well. Three major types of gifts are described below.
Bequest:
Anyone may write GCF into their will. By writing the Foundation into your will, you can make a portion of your estate tax deductible and avoid the possibly heavy estate taxes. Years after your death, the money will still be funding the Kingdom of God.
Charitable Gift Annuity:
A charitable gift annuity is a large gift given to the Foundation that pays a fixed amount to the donor annually, semi-annually, or quarterly. The amount paid out is determined by the size of gift and the age of the donor.
Life Insurance:
Donors may purchase a life insurance policy for themselves with the Foundation as the beneficiary and owner. The donor’s payments to the insurance policy may be tax deductible and when the donor dies, the policy will be distributed to the Foundation.
